End of school year 2013-2014

It's been a busy couple of weeks, and I am sorry to admit that I haven't been taking photos of our progress, primarily because most of the work is being done inside the administration and custodial building.  If all goes well, we'll be moving into the admin building in late June, and work on demolishing the present office as well as the library will start the first week of July.  Additionally, the Converged Infrastructure program is in full-swing (allowing for wireless access throughout the school), and workers will begin the renovation of five wings beginning on Monday, June 2.  Yesterday, our custodians and other volunteers worked tirelessly to completely clear building G to prepare for the asbestos abatement which is the first step in the renovation process.  Hopefully, I'll be better about taking photos!

This was taken from C-building and shows the progress of the classroom building.  As you can see, they are working on the second floor.  We are keeping our fingers crossed that the building will be ready by the end of this calendar year!

May 13, 2014

Things are moving along, and it appears that everything will be ready for the big move this summer.  Contractors are working all day and into the evening, and we are appreciative of their willingness to step on the gas pedal to ensure that we can keep to our timeline.

Workers brought in the electrical switchgear, and later this week, Hawaiian Electric will be installing the new transformer.  After school is out for the summer, workers will turn on the new electrical system and turn off the old one.  At that time, the switchgear that's in place now will be removed.

They're painting the administration building.  By the end of this week, the windows and doors should be installed.

This is what the administration building looks like from the road.  The roof is just about completed.
